Individual Grants: Bromley & Croydon Women’s Aid
Bromley & Croydon Women’s Aid is a specialist organisation supporting women and children affected by domestic abuse. The charity provides safe refuge accommodation alongside emotional and practical support to help survivors rebuild their lives, recover from trauma, and gain independence.
Our Individual Grants will support 6 beneficiaries currently residing in refuge accommodation, including mothers with young children and women recovering from abusive relationships. Funding will contribute towards essential items such as food and clothing, educational resources, and wellbeing activitites that suppport recovery.
The organisation shared about their clients:
“My client has experienced significant loss of her sense of self and personal identity following her experiences of abuse. This funding will enable her to engage in activities she used to love and will help rebuild her identity.”
“The money will support her and her two daughters to access food, clothing, and items relating specifically to their culture that are harder to obtain through donations.”
“My client will use these funds towards study materials and educational opportunities as she is very keen to return to school and go to university in the near future.”
