Individual Grant: Hearthstone Support Centre

Hearthstone provides emotional and practical support for survivors of domestic abuse in Haringey. Their services include counselling, advocacy, and legal advice.

Our grant has funded the purchase of essential items for a single mother and her 4 children, who have been recently placed in temporary accommodation after fleeing domestic violence. The items include food, microwave, and school uniforms.

Hearthstone shared:

“Due to the change of circumstances, the family is experiencing exceptional difficulties as they cannot afford to pay for essential items. Their income from Universal Credit is very low and is not enough to buy food and pay bills given the increase in the cost of living.”
