Project Grant: Fat Macy’s

Fat Macy’s is a homelessness charity based in Hackney, supporting people living in temporary accommodation to move into stable housing and employment.

Through a combination of hospitality training, work experience, and personalised resettlement support, the organisation helps young people build the skills and confidence needed for long-term independence. Their model brings together a social enterprise restaurant, where participants gain hand-on experience, and charity arm that provides ongoing welfare and housing support.

Our grant will support the delivery of Fat Macy’s Milestone Programme, funding a Training Academy for up to 10 participants. The programme provides 50 hours of catering and hospitality training, alongside employability workshops and life coaching. Funding will cover essential costs such as ingredients, travel bursaries, and certification.
