Project Grant: The Cheer Up Squad

The Cheer Up Squad in Hackney provides holistic support to children and families experiencing instability, including those living in emergency or temporary accommodation. Through tailored care packages, wellbeing visits, and ongoing support, the organisation help children feel safe and less isolated during times of crisis. They also connect families to essential services, including housing, financial, health, and education support.

Our grant will support the delivery of their “Bundles of Hope” project, providing 40 comfort packs to children facing housing instability. Each bundle includes bedding, hygiene essentials, a comfort toy, snacks, and an activity book, alongside wellbeing visits where needed. This support helps children feel more secure during difficult transitions such as hospital discharge, eviction, or relocation.
